Custodia operates a marketplace connecting homeowners with trusted contractors for home services. Contractors accept jobs through the Custodia App and retain 70% of the quoted price. The remaining 30% covers administrative support, customer service, marketing, and technology infrastructure.

Jobs are posted in a pool on the Custodia App. Contractors can select jobs that fit their availability. Once accepted, the job becomes the contractor’s responsibility to complete professionally and within the required timeline.

Once you accept a job:

  • Call the customer within 15 minutes.
  • Introduce yourself and confirm job details.
  • Maintain communication for any scheduling changes.
  • Provide professional and respectful interaction throughout the service.
  • Assess the job on-site.
  • Include labor hours, material costs (if applicable), and applicable taxes in the quote.
  • Ensure the customer reviews and approves the quote before starting work.

Payments & Invoicing


  • Submit invoices every Monday.
  • Payments are processed every Friday for the previous week's completed jobs.

Policies & Expectations


You will receive a strike for:

  1. Failing to communicate rescheduling with a customer.
  2. Upselling services outside of Custodia (immediate removal from the platform).
  3. Not completing assessments or quotes on time.

Three strikes will lead to removal from the Custodia contractor network.

For snow removal jobs, contractors are required to have:


  • Snow plows
  • Snow blowers
  • Shovels
  • Salting tools
  • Safety gear

Custodia offers a minimum retention payment of 20% of your route's value for months between December and March without snowfall to keep contractors engaged.


Safety & Procedures


  • Use proper safety equipment.
  • Ensure customer walkways and driveways are safe.
  • Take before-and-after photos for records.
  • Report damages or incidents immediately with pictures through the app or directly to your City Manager.
  • Notify your City Manager and the customer immediately.
  • Take steps to repair or replace equipment quickly.
  • Communication is key to maintaining customer satisfaction.


Incentives & Rewards


Yes!

  • $50 bonus for every upsell to an existing customer.
  • $100 bonus for bringing in a new customer through the app who closes a job.

Custodia values its contractors and offers a points-based rewards program:

  • Google Review with your name = 2 Points
  • Customer appreciation (email or feedback) = 1 Point
  • Successful upsell = 1 Point

 

These points contribute to year-end bonuses and incentives.

Onboarding & Compliance


  1. Background screening.
  2. Submit all required documents.
  3. Complete Custodia App Training.
  4. Ensure you understand quoting and invoicing procedures.
  5. Coordinate with your City Manager for route and job assignment.
